Visit Manly Library this April to view, touch and experience the 2025 Artists' Book Award Exhibition.

Yes, touch! Some artist books encourage you to flip through or extend the pages to appreciate and comprehend the artists' narrative.

Exhibited in the Creative Library, the 46 finalist artist books are beautifully curated and lit in the morning sunshine.

Free entry, drop-in during Manly Library opening hours.

About the award

An artists' book is a medium of artistic expression that uses the form or function of a 'book' as inspiration.

Every 2 years, Northern Beaches Library Service holds an Artists’ Book Award that attracts entries from around the world. Books are selected from the entries to form an exhibition.

From the exhibited books, judges then select books to be acquired and added to the 100 plus artist books the Northern Beaches Library Service holds in their collection. This collection is unique to our community and public library service.

Any artists’ book created within the past 2 years is eligible for entry to the Northern Beaches Libraries Artists’ Book Award 2025. The award is acquisitive.
