Visit Manly Library to view and experience the Bridging Cultures: Unfolding Treasure Scenes of Yeongdo and Manly art exhibition from senior community artists in Yeongdo-gu, South Korea.
Bridging Cultures: Unfolding Treasure Scenes of Yeongdo and Manly celebrates the kinship between Yeongdo-gu and the Northern Beaches — cities connected not only by friendship, but by the parallel beauty found in daily scenes, coastlines, and community spaces.
Through twenty thoughtful works created by senior community artists from Yeongdo, we explore ten everyday scenes that reveal stunning similarities between the two cities: beaches, hidden bays, ferries, lighthouses, lift bridges, national parks, walking trails and welcoming squares.
Each sketch transforms a local view into a universal connection — a gentle reminder that across oceans and cultures, we are closer than we imagine. We hope this exhibition encourages citizens of both communities to discover and appreciate one another, deepening mutual curiosity and growing together through the expressive power of art.
To view the Bridging Cultures: Unfolding Treasure Scenes of Yeongdo and Manly exhibition, visit the Creative Library, Manly Library from Monday 1 September to Thursday 30 October.
