Interested in learning more about nature journalling?

Nature Journalling is the practice of recording your personal observations of nature using pictures, words and numbers in a sketchbook/journal. In celebration of the 31st Ocean Festival, this workshop will focus on natural items found along the shore, and connect you with the natural world.

No art experience or science background is necessary as your tutor, Wendy Orchard, will introduce you to this form of journalling which focuses on ‘drawing to learn’ rather than 'learning to draw’.

Using graphite and coloured pencils, pens and watercolours and with techniques such as contour drawing, tracing and direct observation, in this workshop you’ll be guided to create the initial pages of your own unique Nature Journal.
