Voices from the Village is an anthology of 41 stories and eight biographies from eight residents of the Willandra Village and Bungalows Writers Group. It has something for everyone - drama, romance, travel, comic moments and sad ones too. 

We are now of the next generation to drop off the conveyor belt of life. Leaving a legacy and the joy of self-exploration that writing provides are two of our shared pursuits, despite being of very different backgrounds, ideas, values and life experiences.

Maggie Lecky-Thompson has had several careers. Firstly as a nurse then a midwife, followed by that of a social worker mental health counsellor. She facilitates a book club and a writers’ group in Willandra Village in Cromer. A health crisis at the end of 2024 initiated a need to write about her life and the idea to work with like-minded neighbours to share that experience.
