Henri Quin, born and raised in Manly but currently living in Switzerland, returns with his body of work, Treasures of Hidden Manly Revealed.

Quin's paintings are reflective of Manly's history and heritage, reflected in the surrounding landscape, and overlaid with a spiritual dimension, inspired by Buddhism and the protective powers of amulets. 

He focuses on the old Manly Wharf, fun pier and harbour pools. Combining hand drawn images, acrylic painting and gouache on paper and canvas with vibrant colours, playful characters and shimmering metallic gold, the artworks bring Manly’s past to life.

The artworks are paired alongside local history images of the area to give context to a place that has seen much change over the years.
