International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), held annually on 3 December, celebrates the contributions and achievements of people with disability while promoting awareness, understanding and acceptance in our community.

Northern Beaches Library Service is proud to host a wide range of programs in support of IDPwD, and connect people living with disability and their support networks to activities, information and services available in our community.

Speechie Talks

  • Friday 15 November, 3.30 – 4.30pm at Glen Street Library
  • Monday 18 November, 10 – 11am at Mona Vale Library
  • Thursday 21 November, 6 – 7pm at Warringah Mall Library

Join local speech pathologists, in partnership with Speech Pathology Australia, to learn more about developing language and literacy for children aged 0 to 5 years.

Carer Payments and Services

  • Thursday 21 November, 1.30 – 3.30pm at Mona Vale Library.

ArtAbility Art Class

  • Sunday 24 November, 12 – 2pm at Manly Library

Enjoy learning creative skills and meeting new people. This class is for adults living with disability and their carers.

NDIS Information Session

  • Tuesday 26 November, 11am – 12.30pm at Glen Street Library

Join Uniting, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) partner in the community for a presentation on eligibility and pathways.

Caring for the Carer

  • Monday 2 December, 10am – 11.30am at Mona Vale Library

ArtAbility Exhibition
