Have you noticed a reduced number of items in our libraries? We took the opportunity of being closed to give our collection a much-needed spring clean! 

This process is called ‘weeding’ and involves our staff assessing items based on relevancy, publications date, damages to the pages or the cover, etc. By going through this process we can not only offer you a more refined and current collection, but can recycle thousands of items through our sustainability project.

Through this green initiative, the items we remove from our collection are responsibly disposed of by our collection partner through donations to communities in need or by recycling into new products.
