The Home Library Service is enjoyed by over 300 clients from Palm Beach to Manly, with our staff and incredible volunteers delivering books, audiobooks, magazines and more to those unable to visit our branches due to age or disability.

Our librarians hand select each delivery making sure they choose items clients will love.

One of our clients Max who receives a delivery each month said of the service: “If I couldn’t read, I would just be sitting there moping. The library service opens up a whole new world for me.”

Max receives his deliveries from Ian, a Home Library volunteer who has been visiting him for more than five years.

“It’s more than books, it’s much more about getting to know them, feeling like you’re doing something for them and getting something yourself out of it.”
