The events of the past 12 months have undoubtedly been difficult for students completing their HSC. The final years of school can be hard enough without the multiple disruptions they have had to face.
Due to current health orders, we were unable to run one of our favourite annual programs - the HSC Lock-Ins. We put our best minds to work to quickly recalibrate this program into a safe, digital alternative so students could still rely on their library during this time.
We are therefore excited to announce HSC Bright, a four-week virtual program where students will have access to daily online support.
Beginning on Monday 20 September, HSC students will be able to seek help in four key areas:
Wellbeing
Students can engage in origami or calligraphy sessions, take a moment to stretch with our qualified yoga teachers or seek mental health support from the Northern Beaches Counselling team.
Specialist subject speakers
We have organised multiple subject specialists who are ready to provide guidance and advice for exam preparation.
Trivia, time trials and pop quizzes
Students can test their knowledge with subject specific trivia or multiple-choice quizzes. We will also have library staff on-hand to facilitate timed practice sessions for preparing short answer responses.
Library resources
Tour our collection of high quality online resources, guided by our library staff.
HSC Bright is a free program and will be run in a safe environment through Zoom. Bookings open from Monday 6 September and session information will be available shortly.
