The Manly Federation Boardwalk will be closed during upcoming major events and periods of high pedestrian traffic to reduce the load on the structure and ensure community safety.

The timber boardwalk adjacent to Manly Pavilion will be fenced off and inaccessible to the public on: 

• Boxing Day
• New Year’s Eve
• New Year’s Day 
• Australia Day
• any peak times when there is a high volume of pedestrian traffic.

This is due to the identification of some structural issues that require repair works.

Security staff will monitor the site during these periods and signage will be installed around the area to inform the community and visitors.

We apologise for the inconvenience, however access to the Manly Harbour foreshore via the pathway along West Esplanade and Commonwealth Parade is still open and readily accessible.
