Heritage is something which has survived through generations and illustrates the growth and development of an area. It demonstrates a link between a community and its past. It can be a park or garden, building or remnant. Council offers a range of services to protect and conserve our heritage.

The Thematic History provides a broad overview of the history of the Northern Beaches, structured around key themes. It has determined historical themes that are relevant to the Northern Beaches and then used them to write a history for our area.
