Manly Art Gallery & Museum (MAG&M) is a treasured local icon and has been a focal point of our local arts scene for almost 100 years.
We are looking at new ways to fund the gallery, grow our creative spaces and support local artists.
Council has adopted the draft Manly Art Gallery and Museum Fundraising Strategy 2024-2030 to help showcase arts and culture, support public art and to continue to grow our creative spaces.
Arts and culture are thriving on the Northern Beaches, with more than 600 listings on our Culture Map Live. This new strategy will support our creative industries and allow us to fund our iconic gallery.
This new strategy will minimise costs to Council. It will enable specialised staff to increase initiatives to fundraise, build and maintain donor relationships and broad marketing initiatives to promote MAG&M, the Coast Walk Art Trail, and other arts and cultural experiences.
MAG&M is the oldest metropolitan purpose-built regional gallery in New South Wales. Both a proud gallery and museum with a nationally significant collection of over 5,000 objects including painting, ceramics, works on paper, photographs museum objects, documents and public art.
