Australia’s longest running jazz festival is back and we’re inviting school bands to apply for a chance to perform in front of engaged crowds at the 47th year of the historical event.

Manly Jazz is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of jazz talent. This year, we are thrilled to announce the return of the Jazz Stars of the Future Stage, a stage specifically designed for school bands to showcase their talent.

This is your chance to place your school's band program in the spotlight and demonstrate the high level of performance your students achieve. Bands will perform alongside some of the biggest names in jazz and connect with, learn from, and be inspired by professional musicians.

Beyond exposure, participating allows students to grow musically as they encounter new musical styles, engage with diverse audiences, and experience the joy of a professional stage. It’s also a boatload of fun!

How to apply

Simply fill out the webform by Thursday 20 June 2024. We are looking for bands that perform at a high level and can captivate an audience with their skill and passion for jazz. There is no application fee.
