The Coastal Environment Centre (CEC) is throwing open its doors for a massive day of family fun on Saturday 31 August.
The CEC raises awareness of our fragile environment and how we can care for it, with hands-on learning, community events, preschool programs, and a great school holiday program for kids.
Held from 9 am to 2 pm, next to beautiful Narrabeen lagoon, the CEC open day offers a range of fun activities for people of all ages.
The kids can get close to native animals, meet Tilly the Turtle and get their face painted, while you peruse the sustainability stalls, chat with local environment groups or sign-up for volunteering opportunities.
Grab some free native plants and gardening advice, plus learn about composting, worm farms and the benefits of insects.
Enjoy live entertainment, a sausage sizzle and a rock platform tour.
And it’s all totally free!
