We're rolling out improved walking and bike riding connections to local destinations and schools in Beacon Hill, Frenchs Forest and Davidson.
Council’s proposal includes 6km of new shared user paths across a 7.7km network, improving transport options by making it easier and safer to walk and ride a bike, particularly for children travelling to and from school.
The shared user path network will link key local destinations including 7 schools, Frenchs Forest Town Centre, shopping centres, recreational facilities, major bus stops, as well as linking with existing shared user paths towards Allambie Heights, Narraweena and Dee Why.
The proposal also includes 26 new and upgraded raised crossing facilities and linking with some reduced speed limits on some quiet residential streets to improve safety for everyone using the road.
Council is aiming to provide safe and convenient routes for people walking and riding bikes in our community, in line with our adopted Northern Beaches Transport Strategy 2038.
To see the plans and have your say, visit our website or chat with our team at our drop-in session on Saturday 28 September, from 9 – 11am, at Frenchs Forest Showground.
