Manly Life Saving Club is much loved by locals, club members and volunteers, and is a key landmark on this iconic beach front.
It’s also one of the oldest clubs in Australia but, unfortunately, its facilities no longer meet the needs of its users.
We invited the community to share their ideas for its renewal in 2018 and we gained some great insights into what’s important to users of the club and its facilities.
Now, after appointing a highly respected architect in August, we want to check if your ideas and needs have changed before we develop the concept plans.
We also want to ensure everyone who loves and uses the facilities has had the opportunity to have their say.
Come and chat to us at the community drop-in session on Saturday 10 December from 11am – 1pm, or have your say online.
Your input will help us honour Manly Life Saving Club’s location and heritage, and ensure it better serves the community into the future.
We estimate that a full redevelopment of the Manly Life Saving Club will cost $15 million.
A total of $10 million in funding has been secured from Council and the Federal Government to date and we’re continuing to seek additional funding sources.
