We’re seeking Conduct Review Panel members to examine and report findings on complaints against our staff and Councillors which allege breaches of our Code of Conduct.
The panel will help us to uphold our obligations to act lawfully and honestly and to exercise care and diligence in carrying out our functions.
We’re creating the Conduct Review Panel as part of our requirements for administration of the Northern Beaches Council Code of Conduct which sets minimum standards for Council officials.
Potential panel members must have a solid understanding of local government and knowledge of investigative processes such as procedural fairness and Public Interest Disclosure Act requirements.
Conduct reviewers will serve on the panel for two years with the option to have their appointment extended for two further periods of one year.
