Council will continue to support our Matildas when they take on Sweden this Saturday night (19 August) screening the match at Manly Oval.
On Wednesday night the team lost against England and now seek to secure third place in this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023.
The Matildas will face Sweden in the play off at Brisbane Stadium, kicking off on Saturday at 6:00pm.
Manly Oval gates will open at 5pm, with families and friends welcome to come along for Australia’s final clash in this World Cup. A reminder:
- Wear flat shoes (no heels).
- No glass or dogs allowed. Service animals are permitted.
- Pack a rug or low-lying chairs (no camp chairs).
- Bring some food, buy from the food trucks onsite or support one of the many local cafes and restaurants nearby.
- Bring your own water bottle and refill onsite
- No balls, scooters, bikes.
- All minors to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
- Please take your rubbish with you when you leave.
Cromer Park – the home of football on the Northern Beaches – hosted Wednesday night’s game but was unable to host the Matildas final match due to the Manly Warringah Football Association and Manly United Football Club playing their own end of season finals on Saturday.
