With the competition weekend and screenings all done, it's now time for the annual 24/7 Youth Film Festival Final and Awards Night!
Now in its 15th year, 24/7 Youth Film Festival showcases young film-makers from the Northern Beaches and Mosman, giving them the chance to create their own short 7-minute (or shorter) film in just 24 hours.
The exciting Festival Final event will have an 'Oscars' theme with all those attending encouraged to dress up and compete for Best Dressed on the Night'.
The film finalists are competing for a range of product and cash prizes worth up to $5,000 in the Best Film, Best U/18 Film, Best Actor and Best Actress and Best Cinematography categories.
Lochie Mortensen from the 2014 winning team (and a 2016 entrant) says the 24/7 Youth Film Festival "Embraces the values of teamwork and friendship."
"It's about coming together as a team bonded by friendship and working as one to produce a unique short film within a demanding time period," said Lochie.
"At the end of the day, your short film is a positive symbol of teamwork and friendship, no matter the quality of the film itself."
All films submitted were previously screened at Collaroy United Cinemas on 18 and 19 September.
Everyone is invited to come along and see the 10 finalists films on Monday 17 October at Warriewood United Cinemas from 6 – 9pm. Entry is by gold coin donation.
