Northern Beaches Council will continue to sponsor the Northern Beaches Awards for the next three years.
Mayor Michael Regan said the Awards were the most significant business award program on the Northern Beaches, with around 740 local businesses participating annually in the program from a broad cross-section of industries.
“Council’s investment in these Awards reflects our commitment to supporting economic growth, innovation and the sustainability of our local businesses.
“We are very pleased to be a major sponsor of the Awards and also the sponsor for the Sustainability Award.” Mayor Regan said.
Council has been the key sponsor of the Awards since 2009 when the former Manly Council was a sponsor, and from 2010 when the former Warringah and Pittwater Councils were sponsors.
The Northern Beaches Local Business Awards honour business excellence and promote and acknowledge the significant contribution of local businesses to the community.
Local businesses helped generate $19.94 billion in Gross Regional Product (GRP) for the Northern Beaches economy in the year to June 2017, the third largest contributor to the NSW economy, after the City of Sydney and Parramatta.
