Do you know someone who deserves acknowledgment for their outstanding environmental and conservation achievements to protect the Northern Beaches’ unique natural environment?
Submit your nomination for the Northern Beaches Eco Awards by 14 May.
Northern Beaches Council is seeking nominations from the community and environmental groups who have volunteered their time and effort to enhance the region’s diverse and valuable natural environment, across eight award categories:
• Caring for our Bushland
• Caring for our Waterways
• Caring for our Coast
• Caring for our Native Animals
• Sustainable Resources Award
• Sustainability & Climate Change Award
• Individual Achievement Awards will be presented in two categories – Youth (16 - 25years) and Lifetime (25+ years)
Northern Beaches Mayor Michael Regan encouraged the community to get involved.
“Our natural environment is one of our best assets and we are so fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful coastline and beaches to lush bushland and parks," Mayor Regan said.
“Anyone who is doing exceptional work to preserve the environment deserves recognition, so we encourage you to nominate these eco legends.”
To qualify for entry, work must have been carried out in the Northern Beaches local government area in the past two years, except for the Individual Achievement Award (Lifetime Achievement) which recognises work of more than 25 years.
More information about the award and it’s categories and can be found on Council’s website along with the nomination form.
Entries must be in by midnight, Sunday 14 May 2023.
