Northern Beaches Council’s History Week Instagram Competition is on again. This year’s theme is ‘old things in my neighbourhood’.
Mayor Regan urged all photographers, amateur or professional, to get involved.
“Have a look around you. Capture something old and fascinating on the northern beaches. Find something unforgettable in the forgettable. It could be a house, a ruin even a doorknob,” he said.
Applications open on 1 September, which marks the beginning of History Week in NSW and close on September 30. Last year there were more than 900 entries.
To join the competition, share your pictures on Instagram under the hashtag #northernbeaches2018 for your chance to win one of six $200 prizes.
The Exhibition Launch and Awards Night will be held on 24 October at 6.30 pm at Mona Vale library.
An exhibition of the top 40 images will be on display on the awards night and will then be on tour around Council’s six libraries until Christmas.
