People with disability, their carers and families are invited to a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Expo on Thursday 16 November.
Northern Beaches Mayor Michael Regan said the free event, being held at Dee Why RSL Showroom from 1 - 6.30pm, was designed to give our Northern Beaches’ residents information about service providers in the local area.
“Our goal is to help Northern Beaches’ people with disability, their families and carers make informed choices,” Mayor Regan said.
As well as around 45 service providers, staff from the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), the NDIS Local Area Coordination and Ability Links will be available to answer questions about the NDIS First Plan.
Specialist seminars being held on the day include:
- 1.30pm Early Years (ages 0 - 8) and School Years (ages 9 - 18)
- 3pm Plan reviews and appeals
- 4pm Plan processes, reviews, appeals for adults
- 5.15pm Plan processes, reviews and appeals for Early Years and School Years
