Grand Connections is a free expo for grandparents who look after young children which is jam packed with information stalls and activities aimed at offering practical family support on Thursday 8 November 2018 (10am-2pm) at Dee Why RSL.
Northern Beaches Mayor Michael Regan said grandparents with or without their grandchildren are encouraged to attend.
“Our Grand Connections expo will connect you with over 20 friendly local services that provide information about promoting healthy family relationships and children’s wellbeing.
“Bringing the grandkids? Jump into a fun interactive play session or grab a family photo at our photo booth.
“You can also check into a workshop to discuss practical ways to enrich your relationship with your grandchild.
“Grandparents, parents and grandchildren are all welcome so drop in anytime throughout the day.” Mayor Regan said.
The event also features entertainment including cultural performances and a children’s entertainer.
There will also be two workshops on the day – the first an interactive play session with your grandchild which provides an opportunity to learn and observe how your grandchild experiences their world and key relationships, while doing fun craft and play activities.
The second workshop will discuss practical ways to look after and enrich grandparent’s relationships with their children and grandchildren. Childcare is available for this second workshop, however bookings are essential.
