Northern Beaches Council is interested in hearing about your views and experiences about community safety on the Northern Beaches.
Mayor Michael Regan said community safety is a complex issue requiring a whole of community approach.
“Council is developing a five-year Community Safety Plan in consultation with a wide range of stakeholders. The plan will identify strategies to be implemented across the Northern Beaches to further improve safety.
“Our experience has been that whilst people may worry about the most serious of crimes, it is actually the lower level neighbourhood issues such as noise, anti-social behaviour and rubbish that present as the most pressing issues,” Mayor Regan said.
“We’re committed to providing a safe environment for our community with the development of the Northern Beaches Community Safety Plan.
“So share your experiences in our survey. It only takes five minutes to complete.”
Local Government plays an essential role in community safety through, among other things, crime prevention through environmental design, waste management, provision of street lighting and public events management.
