Council will present two fireworks displays at Dee Why Beach and Frenchs Forest this New Year’s Eve and support a further two community fireworks displays at Manly and Bayview.
Fireworks will be on display from 9pm at all four locations, with Bayview hosting a fireworks display at midnight as well. Due to the wonderful success of 2021, Northern Beaches Council will present the 9pm fireworks display at Lionel Watts Reserve in Frenchs Forest once again this year.
Mayor Michael Regan said each event is designed to attract families and small groups of friends wanting to enjoy the best of our beautiful open space without travelling too far.
“Get ready to celebrate! New Year’s Eve is a terrific time to spend with loved ones and friends. Pack a picnic and take the opportunity to celebrate at one of our beautiful locations. Our events will be fun, safe and inclusive.
“The last two years we’ve seen incredible community spirit in the face of many challenges so it’s time to sit back, relax and reflect on how far we have come and our achievements,” Mayor Regan said.
To minimise the environmental impact of fireworks displays, Council is looking to develop a carbon emission offset program.
Fireworks locations include:
Dee Why Beach – 9pm
These fireworks will be held at The Strand and Ted Jackson Reserve, Dee Why
Frenchs Forest – 9pm
Get down to Lionel Watts Reserve.
Manly Beach – 9pm
