Northern Beaches Council will celebrate Youth Week 2017 with a skate and scooter competition, art workshops and exhibitions, a music festival and the Northern Composure Band Comp Final.
Northern Beaches Deputy General Manager Andrew Pigott said the jammed packed schedule of events for Youth Week is a great opportunity for young people to come together and celebrate.
“Council’s Youth and Families team have organised a great range of events at a variety of locations right across the Northern Beaches to make sure everyone can get involved.
“The Northern Beaches has a lot of young people who actively participate in the community and this is a chance for Council to recognise their contributions,” Mr Pigott said.

Shoreshocked 2017

Cost: Free entry and buses to the event and returning to the Northern Beaches
Luca Brasi, Camp Cope, The Hard Achhes, Mere Women, Morning TV and Allan Smithy are headlining this Northern Sydney Region event, along with performances from the Shoreshocked Band Competitions held at Mona Vale and Mosman.
ARTDECKO Workshops
Fri 31Mar and Sat 1 Apr, 4.30-7.30pm
YOYOs, Youth Centre, Frenchs Forest
Ages 10 - 24
Guest Artists Cam Wall, Sam Maclean and more will show participants artistic techniques for creating their own unique skate deck.
$30 includes all materials and participation in the ARTDECKO Exhibition.
ARTDECKO Exhibition

An exhibition of the skate decks created by local youth and guest artists at the ARTDECKO Workshops. Also Mini Ramp open for free skating during exhibition and a Trucker Cap Workshop on Tuesday 11 April - pop in between 10am and 2pm.
