Planning for the precinct around the new Northern Beaches Hospital in Frenchs Forest will move to the next stage, with the three-month public exhibition of the plan now closed.

Northern Beaches Council Deputy General Manager Andrew Pigott said the high level of community engagement were very pleasing.

“More than 1,000 people attended the nine community drop-in sessions and we received more than 1000 submissions.

“We really appreciate the effort and time everyone has taken to provide their comments,” Mr Pigott said.

The project team will now review all of the submissions and consider the extensive feedback during this next evaluation phase of the draft structure plan.

It is expected that a report will be presented to Council in the middle of 2017.

The Precinct Structure Plan is being prepared to guide future development of the area surrounding the new Northern Beaches Hospital.
