Our Australia Day Awards recognise so many amazing locals making the Northern Beaches an even better place. One of those people is Sonam Wangmo who was awarded an Outstanding Community Service Award this year. 

Sonam has volunteered and worked with the Tibetan community on the Northern Beaches for 26 years. She has helped them to find employment, organised youth programs, resettled Tibetans rurally and given guidance to those who have survived trauma and suffering.

Nominations are closing soon for next year’s Australia Day Awards – which deserving local like Sonam should we recognise? Nominate them before Monday 31 October.
