Cat lovers of the Northern Beaches are invited to submit a photo or video reel of their favourite feline living its best 9 lives at home. Our Keeping Cats Safe at Home competition winners will each receive a $500 voucher to build their cat’s dream outdoor enclosure at home.
An estimated 50,000 domestic cats live on the Northern Beaches. Sadly, according to RSPCA NSW, 2 out of 3 cat owners have lost a cat to a roaming-related accident, and one in three to a car accident.
Each roaming, hunting pet cat in Australia kills around 40 native reptiles, 38 native birds and 32 native mammals per year, according to the Australian National University.
That’s why we’ve partnered with RSPCA NSW as part of the Keeping Cats Safe at Home project.
We’re encouraging cat owners to keep their feline friends indoors or provide them with secure outdoor spaces such as a cat enclosure. This benefits and protects not only cats but helps keep our wildlife safe.
Our Keeping cats safe at home competition closes on Sunday 12 May . Finalists will be published in an online gallery.
Each of the 40 photo winners and 10 video reel winners will receive a $500 voucher to spend at catnets.com.au
