Are you keen to test-drive an electric car, reduce your power bills or curious about raising backyard chickens? Maybe you just want to become a little more planet-friendly, but aren’t sure how to go about it?
Wherever you are on your green journey, our Net Zero Expo is sure to inspire you with the latest ideas, products and initiatives to help you make your lifestyle cleaner, greener and cheaper.
On Sunday 2 June, we’re hosting the inaugural event at Narrabeen’s Tramshed Community Arts Centre and Berry Reserve. There will be 5 solution-themed ‘hubs’ showcasing home electrification, solar energy, reuse and recycling, sustainable living and green transport.
Come along and discover cost-saving ideas and smart tech devices to help heat, cool and power your home, speak to experts, test drive electric cars, ebikes and electric mopeds, and learn ways to minimise what you send to landfill. Plus, experience live cookery lessons, a second-hand clothes market, worm farm, composting and chicken demonstrations and a free native plant giveaway.
Across the day, you can tune into a wide variety of panel discussions, MC-ed by Craig Reucassel from the ABC’s War on Waste. Hear from inspiring net zero pioneers, community organisations and government bodies on practical and achievable ways to adapt the way you live work and move.
Attendees will also go into the draw to win a raft of prizes from exhibitors and vendors including home electrification gadgets and use of an electric car for a weekend.
By adopting simple ways to live for less, make our homes more energy efficient and reduce power bills, we can all collectively be a part of reducing our emissions-intensive lifestyles and protect the unique Northern Beaches environment and lifestyle we all enjoy.
The Net Zero Event is a family-friendly event and will be open between 10am and 4pm on Sunday 2 June.
Entry is free, but with spaces limited, book your ticket to avoid missing out.
