What was proposed?
Northern Beaches Council are proposing to grant Manly Life Saving Club Incorporated (ABN 37 100 339 513) a 20 year lease to continue the delivery of life saving services to the community.
Manly Life Saving Club Incorporated refers to the premises located on the corner of Ashburner Street and South Steyne. The premises is located on Part Lot 102 DP 1153829, Part Lot 101 DP 1153828, Part Lot 7350 DP 1168823, Lot 2801 DP 728431, Part Lot 103 DP 1153830.
Council is required to give public notice of its proposal to lease this land in accordance with Section 47 of the Local Government Act 1993 and the Crown Land Management Act 2016.

Q: Does this notice relate to the redevelopment of the new Club?
A: No. This public notice is to advise of Council’s intention to grant and enter into a 20 year lease for the existing club.
The proposed redevelopment of the Club is a separate project. More details and updates on the project status can be found here.
Q: Why is Council entering into a new lease for the existing club?
A: The existing lease is due to expire in February 2025, and given the development project will still be underway, a new lease will be entered into to ensure the ongoing tenure of the Club.
Q: When is the new Club being built?
