While summer might have come to an end, a visit to Manly anytime of the year should be on your bucket list and many agree with the iconic beach voted one of two Australian beaches named in the Top 25 on the planet and coming second in the Top 10 beaches in the South Pacific.
Manly is one of 24 stunning locations on the Northern Beaches which locals and tourists alike can visit and soak up the pristine waters all year round.
It is also home to international events playing host to the Vissla Sydney Surf Pro and several local festivals including Manly Jazz and Taste of Manly.
Manly is also so much more than a beach stop with an abundance of activities to do like surfing, snorkelling, bushwalking, stand up paddle boarding, sailing, cycling and visiting the Manly Art Gallery and Museum to name but a few. And not to forget the great shopping, accommodation and abundance of cafes, restaurants and pubs visitors are spoilt for choice.
The annual Best of the Beaches Award is compiled by Tripadvisor who analyse millions of reviews submitted by global travellers over the past 12-months. Looking at the quality and quantity of ratings for beach experiences, Tripadvisor was able to determine travellers’ absolute favourite beaches of the year.
Don’t just take our word for it. Here are some ‘traveller tips’ shared about Manly Beach on Tripadvisor last year.
