It’s almost that time of year, when we mail you your new beach parking permits.
This year, your permits will be provided separately but conveniently located in the same envelope as your rates notice, not affixed to the actual notice. This small change is part of our effort to improve and streamline the printing process, ensuring you receive a more reliably sticky permit.
Remember, a valid beach parking permit gives you free access to more than 40 of our beautiful beaches and reserves.
Property owners with tenants are encouraged to provide at least one permit to their tenant.
New permits can be affixed on your car windscreen as soon as you receive them. Current permits expire on 31 August, so please ensure your new permit is affixed and clearly displayed by 1 September.
Tips to swap over stickers
To properly remove old permits and affix the new ones, we recommend:
- Gently peeling it off your windscreen, using a plastic scraping tool if necessary.
- Using rubbing alcohol or a hairdryer if needed to loosen the adhesive.
- Wipe the glass where the new permit will go to remove any residue or dust. If necessary, use window cleaner or rubbing alcohol.
- Carefully stick the new permit inside to the passenger side of the front windscreen (visible and not blocked by other stickers or tinting), smoothing it out to prevent bubbles.
