This excursion compliments primary connections Feathers, Fur or Leaves

Using local flora and fauna students discover how different adaptations support the seven life processes. Students explore symbiotic relationships and start to classify animals.

Using a variety of specimens and the seven life processes students establish living from non-living things.

Students have the opportunity to dissect a squid and investigate the internal adaptations of a cephalopod.

The Micro Eye gives students a closer look at some of the unique adaptations of our live specimens.

To consolidate their learning students will start to classify various animals and objects.

Students break down a lifecycle using either a plant or animal.
