Trent Jansen
Trent Jansen is a designer based in Thirroul, Australia, and Lecturer at the University of New South Wales Art & Design, Sydney Australia. Jansen gained his PhD from the University of Wollongong under renowned Australian art historian Ian McLean, and his Bachelor of Design from the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales in Sydney. He spent part of his undergraduate degree in the Department of Art and Design at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada.
After a period working under Marcel Wanders in Amsterdam, Jansen returned to Australia to set up a design studio in Sydney, before moving his practice to Thirroul on the New South Wales South Coast.
Jansen applies his method of Design Anthropology to the design of limited edition and one-off pieces for clients including the Molonglo Group, Charter Hall and Mirvac. This approach is also applied to the design of products and furniture for manufacturers Moooi, DesignByThem and Tait. Jansen was one of the cofounders of Broached Commissions and is represented by Broached Commissions for Broached in-house commissions.

Khaled Sabsabi
Born in Tripoli, Lebanon, Khaled migrated to Australia with his family as a child in 1976, settling in Western Sydney where he continues to live and work. In 2001, he travelled back to Lebanon and the surrounding region. This extended travel period became a significant moment in Khaled’s creative career, forcing him to question, reflect and redefine his philosophical perspective, and contemporary visual arts practice.
In 2005, Khaled received a Master of Arts degree from the University of New South Wales. He continues to expand his practice, producing major mixed media and installation-based works, and is represented in the 2024 Sydney Biennale. He has participated in over 90 solo and group art exhibitions in Australia and abroad. He was awarded an Australia Council for the Arts CCD fellowship in 2001, Helen Lempriere Travelling Art Scholarship 2010, 60th Blake Prize 2011, MCG Basil Sellers fellowship 2014, Fishers Ghost Prize 2014, Western Sydney ARTS NSW Fellowship 2015, Sharjah Art Programme Prize 2016, International Council of Museums' and Heritage Awards, Video Art Prize 2016, University of NSW Annual Alumni Award ‘Art and Culture’ 2019 and Creative Australia Visual Arts Award 2023. Khaled is represented by Milani Gallery, Brisbane and has works in private, national and international collections.
Genevieve Smart
Genevieve Smart is the co-founder and creative director of renowned Australian fashion brand, GINGER & SMART. Born in Sydney to British and Australian parents, she spent much of her childhood in the United Kingdom, immersed in a creative environment shaped by her parents' connections in the arts. Genevieve's career in the fashion industry spans over 30 years. She began her journey at the esteemed Design Studio at the National Art School in East Sydney, graduating with a degree in Advanced Fashion Design in 1994. Her professional trajectory took her to various fashion capitals, including New York, London and back to Sydney, where she honed her skills and passion for blending the feminine and masculine in design.
In 2002, Genevieve co-founded GINGER & SMART. The brand quickly gained international recognition for its distinctive aesthetic and unwavering commitment to sustainability. Beyond her brand, Genevieve is actively involved in environmental and social initiatives, serving on advisory councils for organizations such as Australian Parents for Climate Action, Sydney Women’s Fund, and Atelier at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
