Little Manly bushland reserve is located on Little Manly Point, North Head, adjacent to Stuart and Carey Streets. The bushland is situated on the northwest edge of the old Manly Gasworks site.

Vegetation

The remnant bushland area is 0.83ha in size and is located on the eastern shore of Little Manly Cove, upslope of the rocky shoreline. The vegetation community is Coastal Banksia- Eucalypt Woodland which contains an open forest structure.  The main canopy species are Casuarina glauca, Melaleuca quinquinervia, Banksia integrifolia and Eucalyptus botryoides. The shrub layer contains patches of Kunzea ambigau and Pteridium escalentum.

Fauna

The site supports Long-nosed Bandicoots (Perameles nasuta) due to the large amount of nesting and foraging habitat and also suitable nesting and moulting habitat for the Little Penguin (Eudyptula minor). The Little Penguin occurs in the local area but is not currently nesting in this reserve. Other shelter resources present within the reserve include tree hollows, stags, canopy foliage, shrubs and dense thickets.
