Christmas by the Beach is returning to James Meehan Reserve, Dee Why with all your favourite carols and a children’s Christmas show with fun entertainment for the whole family.
Bring your own picnic, grab takeaway from one of Dee Why’s many restaurants or chose something delicious from a range of food vendors operation at the event.
Gates will open at 4pm with the show commencing at 5pm.

- 4 - 7pm: Santa photos presented by Cunninghams Real Estate
- 4 - 7.30pm: Face painting presented by Northern Beaches Honda
- 5.15pm: Christmas stage show 'Trouble in Santa's Workshop' including Santa's arrival
- 5.45pm: Dance Party hosted by Jayden Rodrigues
- 6pm: Christmas sing-along with The Q.C. Collective
- 6.45pm: Dance Party hosted by Jayden Rodrigues
- BYO picnic rugs and low lying chairs, camping chairs are not permitted at this event

Can I bring my own food and drinks?
You are most welcome to BYO food and drinks, or enjoy something from our onsite food trucks.
Please note: our Christmas events are glass-free events.
Will there be water onsite?
There will be water stations for you to refill and refresh. Please bring your own water bottle.
Please note: no food vendors will be selling bottled water onsite.
Can I bring my pram to the event?
Yes, you can bring your pram. There will be access to the event, we ask that you are considerate of other patrons around you for best viewing.
Can I smoke/vape at the event?
No, our Christmas events are smoke-free. Smoking and/or vaping is not permitted.
Can I bring my dog to the event?
This event is pet friendly however, bringing your dog is strongly discouraged due to the size and scale of the event, as well as a large number of children in attendance. Animals must be on a leash and are not permitted within 10 metres of the food preparation areas.
Assistance animals are permitted.
Will there be official programs for sale?
The official program will be available to download in the coming weeks. We encourage you to download your programs prior to arriving onsite.
Weather
We will monitor the weather in the lead up to the event. In the event of extreme weather, we will advise if the event will proceed via social media.
What happens with any photos or videos that might be taken of me whilst I am at the event?
We may have a professional photographer and/or videographer at the event. If this is the case, there will be signs at the venue advising you of this. Photographs and video footage taken at the event may be used in future for promotional purposes.
