In 2013, Jake debuted for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. He went on the be vice-captain from 2017 to 2024 (bio as of 2024) and has stepped in as captain when needed.

Jake represented Australia, playing for the Kangaroos from 2017 to 2023.

He has also played for the NSW Blues from 2017 and captained the Blues to a series victory in 2024.

Jake grew up on the Northern Beaches and as a junior he played for the Mona Vale Raiders and continues helping the team with coaching, barbecues and ground announcing.
