Jim was selected to represent Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympics along with Shaun Connor competing in the 49er competition at Marseille Marina, France.

His Australian sailing debut was in 2014 during the ISAF Youth Sailing Worlds in Portugal, after which this he travelled extensively competing at international events.

Jim’s career highlight was in the lead up to Paris 2024 Olympics, winning silver with Shaun at the 2023 Hyeres Regatta, France, despite being very unwell and almost having to withdraw. 

Jim started sailing on Pittwater when he was 5 years old in a timber boat built by his father. His home club is the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club.
