Ski Cross
Sami began her international career in 2008 and went on to compete in 124 World Cups and 5 World Championships. Her career highlights at World Cup events include second place at the 2017 World Cup in Idre Fjall, Sweden and third place at the 2020 World Cup in Arosa, Switzerland.
Additionally, Sami is a 3-times Olympic Ski Cross Athlete. Her first appearance was at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics where she placed 28th. She went on to compete at the PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022 Olympics placing eighth overall at both.
In 2013 Sami suffered an infarct stroke but was able to slowly return to being a professional skier. She became an ambassador for the National Stroke Foundation.
