Humans of the Northern Beaches is a storytelling initiative co-created by the We Belong intercultural community leaders to foster connection, celebrate diversity, and promote a sense of belonging in our community. Through the Living Library and We Belong Podcast, individuals from all walks of life are invited to share their personal journeys—without being confined to specific labels or categories. This initiative provides a platform for real, unfiltered stories that challenge assumptions and bring people together through shared experiences.

Living Library

The Living Library is a unique storytelling project where the 'books' are people with personal stories to share and 'readers' can 'borrow' these 'books' to have open and respectful conversations. Through this interaction, participants from all backgrounds can listen, learn and connect on a deeper level, building empathy and understanding within our community.

The Living Library was held over two dates:

• 16 March 2025, 12 to 1.30pm at Tramshed, Narrabeen
• 22 March 2025, 1.30 to 3.30pm at Mona Vale Library
