Did you know that our oceans cover over 70% of our planet, produce around 50% of the oxygen we breathe and absorb over 25% of all carbon dioxide emissions?

Keeping our oceans vibrant and healthy is critical for the wellbeing of our planet. 

That’s why you should get involved in our 32nd Ocean Festival this year by hosting a community event and helping to build the most exciting festival program yet. 

By having your event featured in our program, you will be able to showcase your products or services to a wide audience, connect with environmentally conscious locals and network with other enthusiastic and nature loving business owners.

The festival runs from 30 November until 7 December and will feature a wide variety of exciting ocean-related events, experiences and interesting encounters. 

The program already includes the 2025 Underwater Photography Exhibition, various marine talks, volunteering meet ups, rock platforms tours, walks and talks, a special penguin event and lots more.

Each event will be related to the theme for this year’s festival which is all about ‘Life Below Water’.

You can submit your event for the 2025 Ocean Festival by filling out this form.

It's free to register and you can charge for people to attend your event, although free events will generally attract more people.

There are a few conditions to follow when submitting your event:

• Your event or activity must be held on the Northern Beaches.
• You must hold a current Public Liability insurance of no less than $20 million.
• You need to provide one image to support your application.
• The event must be accessible. 

After you complete your submission:

• We will email you to confirm the approval of your event.
• It will then be listed online in the Ocean Festival 2025 program within 24 - 48 hours (Monday - Friday).

Applications close at midnight on Monday 17 November.
