Local community and environmental groups, sport and recreation clubs, artists, and not-for-profit organisations are encouraged to turn their visionary ideas into impactful realities with help from Council’s annual grants program.

Mayor Sue Heins said the grants help fund vital projects. “With funding opportunities spanning from the creative arts to infrastructure and everything in between, this program has been driving meaningful change across the Northern Beaches’ community for the last 8 years.

“Last year Council awarded 64 grants providing $370,000 to support projects like sports clubhouse upgrades, energy efficient lighting upgrades, community inclusion and wellbeing activities, community markets and art workshops.

“The grants program has been instrumental in empowering grassroots initiatives that often face barriers to funding, allowing them to thrive and create lasting impacts for the broader community.

“This helping hand can be a real game changer in supporting people on the front line which has a ripple effect in fostering meaningful connections,” Mayor Heins said.
