The Northern Beaches Council's Customer Service Team at Dee Why has taken out several awards at the prestigious 2016 National Local Government Customer Service Awards.
The Dee Why Customer Service Team won Team of the Year and Best Customer Contact Centre Operations and received a highly commended award for their Customer Service Strategy – almost a clean sweep in the major team related awards.
Northern Beaches Council General Manager, Mark Ferguson said the awards are a fantastic achievement.
"The awards demonstrate the level of commitment the new Northern Beaches Council has made to provide the community with great quality service," Mr Ferguson said.
"Northern beaches Council is quickly becoming known as a leader in this field. It's not uncommon for other councils to contact us about how we do business and how we're building an effective service culture for our community."
Over 100 member Councils compete Australia-wide, including most of the large to medium size metropolitan councils in Sydney like Randwick, Ku-ring-gai and Parramatta.
