Fitness enthusiasts are being offered a free five day "try before you buy" fitness trial at the new-look Manly Andrew "Boy" Charlton Aquatic Centre.

Northern Beaches Council is offering the special deal to access the only fitness facility on the Northern Beaches with a 50m and two 25m swimming pools.

"Members get full use of the fitness centre, the three pools, the leisure pool, and relaxation facilities like our spa pool, steam and sauna rooms, as well as a crèche," said Helen Lever, Northern Beaches Council Deputy General Manager.

"The onsite crèche caters to children aged eight weeks to five years to give mums, dads and carers the option of working out or swimming while the children are cared for by qualified staff. Please note the crèche is not included in the free, five day pass.

The Manly Andrew "Boy" Charlton Fitness Centre boasts the industry's best equipment and offers group training including cycle classes, aquatic classes, relaxation facilities and personal trainers.

Fees were recently reduced and are now $1248 a year or $48 a fortnight for memberships, while personal trainers are $42 for a 30 minute one-on-one training session.

"Whether you are young or old, summer is the perfect time to focus on fitness. Promoting health and wellness is important in our community and we want to offer the best value possible," Ms Lever said.
