Northern Beaches bands Black Iguana, Marvell and all-girl group Knowing Ivy will be ramping things up for visiting Queensland headline act Hey Geronimo at the free 'Next Wave' youth concert on The Corso in Manly on Friday, 30 September from 5.30-9pm.
Celebrating local musical talent on the Northern Beaches, this free youth music event is hosted by the Northern Beaches Council and coincides with this year's massive 'Manly Jazz' festival.
Black Iguana's combination of jazz blues, funk, ska and reggae soul; breakout Sydney five-piece group Marvell and 2016 Northern Composure band competition finalists Knowing Ivy will be the perfect complement to warped Aussie indie five-piece band Hey Geronimo.
With smooth beats in the air, young people attending the event will also be able to engage with local youth services such as Headspace, Streetwork, Mission Australia and Burdekin.
The 39th annual Manly Jazz event takes place over the long weekend of Saturday 1- Monday 3 October 2016, all around Manly's famous ocean beach-front and The Corso (Manly's main pedestrian plaza, right opposite the Ferry Wharf).
