Northern Beaches Council has received national recognition for the quality of our customer service by being named a finalist in three categories of the 2017 National Local Government Customer Service Network Awards.
Council is a finalist in the categories of Team of the Year, Customer Experience and Customer Service Strategy.
Northern Beaches Council General Manager Customer & Corporate Helen Lever said the awards encourage and recognise excellence in customer service provided by local government across Australia.
“Our customer service team is the first point of contact for the community and we are proud of the friendly, helpful, dedicated and professional service provided by our team.
“We handle literally thousands of enquiries a year across a wide range of services from waste and recycling to roads and libraries to disability services and we never treat our customers like a number.
“This recognition is very welcome but we will not rest on our laurels and will continue improving our service by asking for customer feedback and by continuing to measure our performance.
The winners will be announced in October.
Last year, Northern Beaches Council won Customer Service Team of the Year and the Customer Contact Excellence Award, and was runner up in the Customer Service Strategy Award.
