Brand new, female-friendly change rooms have opened at Pittwater Rugby Park and they’re designed to give all players, referees and coaches a safe and comfortable space.
The upgraded facilities are a game-changer for the Warringah Rugby Club and other sporting groups who use Pittwater Rugby Park - making it easier and more appealing for women and girls to jump into rugby and other activities.
Giving women and girls the facilities they deserve, supporting their passion for sport and breaking down barriers to participation is an important step toward making sure everyone has the opportunity to participate in sport, whether it’s for major competitions or just a local game.
With funding support from the NSW State Government and feedback from the Warringah Rugby Club and the wider community, these new amenities reflect a shared goal of helping everyone stay active, healthy, and connected through sport.
This project is all about breaking down barriers and making everyone feel welcome at local sporting venues. To learn more about this project or see what else is happening in the area visit Northern Beaches Council website.
