Whale Beach and Mona Vale rockpools are set to be open and looking better than ever ready for the summer holidays.

The refurbishment, assisted by the Special Variation to rates funding, tackled everything from surface repairs, revamping pool stairs and handrails, and improving access, to replacing parts of coping and rebuilding scuppers. All these improvements are about keeping the pools in top shape nick, making them more comfortable, safer and cleaner for everyone to enjoy.

These stunning spots have been part of the community since the 1930s, and are woven into everyday Northern Beaches life, offering a perfect place to swim, relax and catch up with friends. 

Investing in the upkeep and improvement of Mona Vale and Whale Beach rockpools is not just about sprucing up the area - it’s about supporting community wellbeing and protecting these gems for future generations.

This restoration project is part of a bigger push from Council to keep local infrastructure in tip-top shape, recognising just how important these spaces are in helping people stay active, healthy and connected.
